Veteran Tamil actor Rajesh dies at the age of 75, leaving his cinematic heritage behind

Chennai: Veteran Tamil actor Rajesh, who was celebrated for his versatile performance in more than 150 films in South Indian cinema, died on Thursday at the age of 75.

Rajesh breathed his last at his residence in Ramapuram, Chennai. His body is placed to pay his final honor to the public.

He is alive by his daughter Divya and son Deepak. He was predetermined by his wife, Zone Sylvia.

Born on December 20, 1949 in Mannarguri in Thiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu, Rajesh started his professional journey as a school student.

However, inspired by a passion for acting, he eventually quit teaching and created a forest in films – a decision that marked the beginning of a magnificent and impressive career in Indian cinema.

Rajesh started his acting in ‘Evely Oru Thodarakathi’ (1974), which. A seriously acclaimed Tamil film directed by Balachander.

His talent was quickly identified, and he played a lead role in ‘Kanni Paruvathile’ (1979) created by Rajnu, who marked his success as a hero.

For decades, Rajesh became an acquaintance and respected person in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and other South Indian language films.

Known for his expressive performances and commanding screen appearance, he originally transfusted between lead, support and character roles.

Apart from acting, Rajesh was also a skilled dubbing artist, who gave his voice to many notable projects.

His deep, specific voice and emotional distribution added dimensions to many characters.

He shared screen space with several major stars and acted under the direction of some of the most acclaimed filmmakers in the industry.

His relationship with the director’s Balachander was particularly important. In ‘Achmilai Achmililai’, Rajesh gave one of his most powerful performances, which earns praise for his fine depiction of political changes.

Rajesh’s actor also had memorable cooperation with Kamal Haasan, who appeared in films like ‘Satya’, ‘Mahanadhi’ and ‘Viramandi’, where his character roles left a permanent impression on the audience.
