Mumbai: After Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal revealed the name of their newborn son, introducing him as Vihaan Kaushal, filmmaker Aditya Dhar took no time in congratulating the couple and pointed out the sweet coincidence between the little one’s name and Vicky’s character in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.
Katrina and Vicky announced the good news by sharing a joint post on their Instagram accounts on Wednesday. He also posted an adorable picture in which Katrina’s hand, Vicky’s hand and their son’s little hand are held together. Along with the photo, the duo added a caption announcing their son’s name ‘Vihaan Kaushal’, expressing their feelings as new parents. “Our ray of light, Vihaan Kaushal Vihaan Kaushal’s prayers have been answered. Life is beautiful. Our world has changed in an instant. Gratitude beyond words,” read his Instagram post.
Responding in the comments section, Dhar wrote, “A huge congratulations to @vicky @katrina!! From bringing my Vickyuu, Major Vihaan Shergill to life on screen to now holding little Vihaan in my arms, life has truly come full circle. All my love and blessings to you three. You both are going to be extraordinary parents.”

Soon after Vihaan’s name was made public, fans on social media started drawing comparisons with Vicky Kaushal’s portrayal of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in Aditya Dhar’s 2019 war drama, a performance that won the actor critical acclaim and a National Award.
A social media user wrote, “Hello Vicky sir, we are big fans of yours. We named our son Vihaan inspired by your name in the movie Uri. Now it feels incredibly special to see you giving the same name to your son. Lots of love to him.”
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal welcomed their first child in November last year. At that time, the couple had shared the news of the arrival of their child through a joint post on social media.
Their note read, “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy. November 7, 2025. Katrina and Vicky.” Katrina confirmed her pregnancy in September 2025 with an adorable picture from a maternity photoshoot. “With hearts full of joy and gratitude, on our way to begin the best chapter of our lives,” the two wrote in a joint announcement on Instagram.
Vicky and Katrina tied the knot on December 9, 2021, at Six Senses Fort Barwada in Rajasthan.
