Tom Cruise, 62, sparked romance rumors with Spanish-American singer Victoria Canales, 25, after they met at England’s Glastonbury Festival.
Singer Victoria Canal wants to make it clear that she is not dating Tom Cruise. A few days ago, there were reports of romance between Tom, 62, and Victoria, whom he met at the Glastonbury Festival. What did Victoria say?
On Monday, Victoria shared a selfie in which she appeared unfazed by the reports, and she also shared a series of refutations of reports that the Mission Impossible star was dating her.
The singer began her lengthy note by saying, “Guys, this is really crazy but apparently the tabloids think I’m dating Tom Cruise. I’m dead. (skull emoticon) Let’s just end it here – I’m sorry to disappoint you but I am not dating the guy although he is a lovely person and artist. Never thought I’d have to clarify this out loud in my life. Y’all. If you’re going to write to me at @pagesix use a better picture (huge deal: for the first time ever I am Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal and not a one-handed pianist who has not been named!!!! There’s always a win somewhere, thanks Tom).”
‘Tom has been a respectful, encouraging person’
She added, “Honestly guys, Tom has been nothing but a respectful and encouraging person and mentor, just like Chris Martin, my dad, my music teacher and other wise people that I have learned so much from in life. And again, I’m friends with all kinds of people that are very different from me. If you’re open to having those teachers in life you learn so much. Well, finally I’d like to take this opportunity to say that I’m going on tour and releasing 2 new great songs, so if you’re new here, enjoy it.”
Tom’s celebrity relationships have garnered a lot of attention over the years. He has been married three times; to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. All of these relationships lasted for a few years. Tom recently split from 36-year-old Russian socialite Alesina Khairova earlier this year.
He was last seen in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
