Regardless of your fan status as a Swiftie, it’s hard to ignore the fiery status of Taylor Swift, one of the most influential forces in the music world. Unfortunately, this fire broke out in the pop diva’s New York City apartment, forcing her to take up arms to put out the blaze.
Luckily, she wasn’t the only one dealing with this shocking turn of events. Along with her “Us” song partner Gracie Abrams, Swift faced this shocking experience head on despite her initial confusion about operating a fire extinguisher.
Abrams, who is set to headline Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour in the summer of 2023, not only debuted her new album “The Secret of Us” on Friday but also shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the debacle that ultimately led to their duet “Us.” The shocking video, which is currently making the rounds on the internet, shows Swift putting out a small fire in her apartment kitchen.

What happened in the viral Taylor Swift fire extinguisher video?
Gracie took a back seat and guided Taylor throughout, giving everyone important life lessons about how to deal with a kitchen fire, especially when it involves tools: “You put it out with fire. Not water.” Meanwhile, Swift did her best to operate a fire extinguisher, and said, “I think we’re about to die.”
Like any other normal person struggling to put out a fire, Swift asked the big question: “What do I do about this?” before summarizing her internal anguish and expressing it in the momentarily familiar slur, “b**ch.”

Despite her tense nature, Swift handled the situation calmly and saved the day when the fire extinguisher finally heard her loud pleas. “Our purses are ruined, and my shoes and the whole room, I think”, she quipped when the horror of the fire engulfed her. One of her cats later joined her at the crime scene.
Gracie Abrams shared this exclusive clip alongside another video in which she and Taylor are seen happily harmonizing during practice songwriting sessions for their new song. “Writing this entire song from 2am to 6am was the most fun of my life. @taylorswift13 now we know how to use a fire extinguisher. I love you,” the “Risk” singer wrote on her social media platform.
While we can’t say if the pop stars were cooking something up in the kitchen when this fateful transaction took place, we can certainly declare that they’ve whipped up a hit dish for summer 2024.
