Diversity has released two videos shot by crew members in which 85-year-old Coppola can be seen trying to kiss young extras while shooting a crowded nightclub scene. The report cites sources claiming that Coppola acted unprofessionally on set.

“The filmmaker was repeatedly jumping in to hug and kiss multiple women, at times inadvertently putting himself in the shot and ruining it, which the source described as unusual,” the report said.
Metropolitan Coppola’s self-financed magnum opus stars Adam Driver and Nathalie Emmanuel. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and is set to release in theaters on September 27.
According to Diversity According to the report, since Coppola self-financed the film’s massive $120 million budget, there weren’t the usual checks and balances of a studio production. A source told the publication that after several takes of the aforementioned scene, Coppola announced through a microphone: “Excuse me if I come over and kiss you. Just know this is entirely for my pleasure.”
A spokesperson for Coppola declined to comment on the video, the report said.
Instances of Coppola’s misbehavior had surfaced before Guardian In May, before the premiere Metropolitan In Cannes.
