Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed against actor Vijay Devarakonda under the SC/ST Act to comment on the sentiments of the tribal community.
The complaint lodged by Nenwath Ashok Kumar Naik, the state president of the tribal communities, claims that Devarakonda’s comments were aggressive during a pre-resulting event for the film ‘Retro’ and insulted the tribal community. The case has been registered at the Radarg police station in Cyberbad, and an investigation is going on.
According to police FIR copy, “In 10:30 hours on 17.06.2025, Naiwath Ashok Kumar Naik alias Ashtok Rathod, Cast: ST (Rathode), OCCU: State President, Joint Action Committee of Tribal Community ….., which is brief facts in this case. Police said, “The comments were seen as a serious insult to the self-esteem and dignity of the tribal community. Therefore, the complainant requested to take necessary action against Mr. Vijay Devarakonda according to the law.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay will be seen next time in the ‘Kingdom’. The film released on May 30, 2025 will now arrive in theaters on July 4, 2025.
