However, in a recent interview with News18, Vikrant clarified the misconception by saying that he is taking a long break rather than retiring from acting completely.
In his Instagram post, Vikrant wrote:
“Hello, the last few years and the years since have been unprecedented. I thank you all for your unfailing support. But as I move forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and head back home. As a husband, father and a son. And also as an actor. So in the coming 2025 we will meet each other for the last time. Until the time feels right. Memories of the last 2 films and many years. Thanks again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted!”
In his interview with News18 Shosha, Vikrant clarified the message, saying, “I am not retiring…just tired. A long break is needed. I am missing home and my health is also deteriorating. “People read it wrong.” The actor stressed that his decision was based on self-care and a desire to reconnect with his personal life after years of intense work.
Vikrant’s decision to prioritize his well-being has been appreciated by colleagues. Director Sanjay Gupta praised the move, saying, “It takes courage, resilience and immense belief in yourself to do it.” Actress Dia Mirza also expressed her support, commenting, “A break is the best.”
Although Vikrant Massey plans to step back after completing his current commitments, he still has exciting projects in the pipeline. She is reportedly a part of the much-awaited Don 3 with Ranveer Singh. This ensures that fans can look forward to seeing them on the big screen at least a few more times before their hiatus begins.
