Vir Das on Sunday won the hearts of his fans on the internet who were waiting for two years to see him perform live. The actor-comedian shared a screenshot on his Instagram feed on Sunday morning, showing the dedicated fan who had been patiently waiting for two years to see his favorite artiste on stage. Reason? At that time he was not earning. The fan promised in his first message in 2022 that he will watch Vir Das live after he starts earning. Two years later, he kept his promise, and now that he has started earning he has got the ticket.
The fan began his 2022 message with, “Hey Veer, big fan from Vadodara. I always wanted to attend one of your shows and this desired tour was the only thread of hope I was holding on to.”
After this he explained why he could not come to the show. “Unfortunately, I am not earning yet. So, I begged my father as much as I could and he refused due to very obvious reasons (financial constraints). I am a student and I am starting my further studies in July. Going to Canada to study. I will.” Then start earning and if you come to Toronto or nearby, I will be able to join your show. This is now the thread I will hold on to for now, Veer, good luck for the rest of the desired tour! You are always in favor of this,” the fan said.
Keeping his promise, he sent the message again recently, in 2024. He wrote, “Hi Veer, I have started earning and I will be joining your Mindful Tour in Toronto. Hehe. Very very excited about it.”
Vir Das took notice this time and shared the screenshot, adding a text on it that read, “Hey, kid. If you’ve seen this before the show, my team has DMed you. Your tickets are with me.” I am.” So proud of you.” The comedian also shared it as a post on his feed, with the caption, “Baby!!! Posting this because we’re trying to reach out to you. We DMed you, no response. If you see this, I’m proud you waited two years to meet me, and made the sweetest promise, you are not replying to my team please.
