New Delhi: Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket on Monday, marking the end of an era. His long note on social media broke a million fans.
Virat Kohli’s retirement note
Virat Kohli’s retirement notes read: Kohli wrote in her Instagram post, “I have been 14 years when I first wore Bagi Blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey that this format will take me. It has tested me, gave me shape, and taught me a lesson that I will take for life,” Kohli wrote in his Instagram post.
“Something deep about playing in the whites. Quiet pieces, long days, short moments that no one sees, but he stays with you forever. As I stay away from this format, it’s not easy – but it seems right. It seems right. I have given it everything that I have been given back, as much as I could.
He said, “I am going away with gratitude filled with gratitude – for the game, the people with whom I have shared the field, and for every person who has seen me on the way. I will always look back with a smile. #269, sign off,” he said.
It was decided that it was reported that Kohli gave his verdict to the Control Board (BCCI) for cricket in India before the next five -match Test series against England.
In less than a week, both Kohli and Rohit Sharma have retired from the longest format of the game that will leave the Indian team without much experience in the batting department.
When Anushka Sharma reacted …
Going back in 2022 when Kohli quit the captaincy of the Test, a proud wife Anushka Sharma also gave a long note for the Hubbi Kest. she wrote: I remember the day in 2014 when you told me that you have been made captain because MS decided to retire from Test cricket.
I remember MS, you and I was doing a chat later that day and he was joking about how soon your beard would be gray. We all had a good laugh about it. From that day, I have seen your beard more than gray. I have seen development. Huge growth. Near and inside you. And yes, I am very proud of your growth as the captain of the Indian national cricket team and what the achievements of the team made under your leadership. But I am more proud of the growth gained within you.
In 2014, we were very young and naive. Thinking that only good intentions, positive drives and motives can take you forward in life. They definitely do, but not without challenges. A lot of these challenges that you had to face were not always on the field. But then, is this life correct? It tests you in places where you expect at least it but where you need the most. And my love, I am proud of you to not let anything come in the way of your good intentions. You led for example and won every ounce of your energy to the extent that after some damage I have sat next to you with tears in your eyes, while you wonder if you still have something else that you could.
This is what you are and this is what you expected from all. You are unconventional and straightforward. Pretense is your enemy and this is what makes you great in my eyes and the eyes of your fans. Because under all this, you always had pure, uncontrolled intentions. And not everyone will really understand this. As I have said, blessed are those who tried to know what you get from the eye. You are not right and you have flaws, but you ever tried to hide it again? What you did always stand to do the right thing, the difficult thing, always! You do nothing with greed, not even in this situation and I know that. Because when someone holds something tightly, they limit themselves and you, my love is infinite.
Our daughter will see these 7 years of learning in the father that you are for her.
You did well ,
Kohli, who made her Test debut in 2011, has been the cornerstone of the revival of India’s red ball in the last decade. His aggressive captaincy, vipul batting and unmatched intensity have helped India turn into a malignant test side both at home and abroad.
The 36 -year -old will now join ODI cricket for India only.
