Kapoor plans to create character and stars using artificial intelligence.
They believe that AI can produce more human-like stars than real actors.
New Delhi:
While Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to establish its power in the world of technology, have you ever heard of actors about losing their roles due to AI? Believe it or not, veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor recently revealed that he no longer needs superstars like Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan for his films, as he is planning to make his own characters and stars using artificial intelligence.
Speaking at Waves 2025, Shekhar Kapoor shared his views how AI could not only create an actor, but full stars.
Shekhar Kapoor said, “Actor is going to be just an actor, because AI will build stars moving forward. AI will create more human-like stars. And I can make a star using AI and my copyright will be very soon. And very soon the ideas of AI films will be sleepy, in which a girl or a boy or a man will be a man or a woman that I have used AI, and it will be Mai Coopyt.”
Explaining why he does not feel the need for stars, Shekhar Kapoor said, “In fact, now it’s more and more. Many influential people you see are not humans. AI has made them. So why we can’t have films with actors, such characters that have become stars because we have made them on AI?”
“I don’t need Amitabh Bachchan. I will make my own character. I do not need Shah Rukh Khan, I will make my own character, my own star. And if I am quite good, I will make a character that the audience will like. And then I will have my star.”
