Mumbai: Actor Vijay Devarakonda, who attended Waves 2025 on Friday for a special session, shared that he cooperates in a film to Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and Telugu superstar Allu Arjun.
During the session, operated by filmmaker Karan Johar, Devarakonda expressed that if a star from South and a star from the north, it would “unite the country.”
“Shah Rukh Sir’s last biggest hit was built around 800-1000 crores. I do not know the exact number. And Allu Arjun Anna’s film made Rs 1000 crore. Now imagine that he cooperates! When you bring a star from South and a star from the north, when you bring two stars from India, you unite the country.”
He also shared his ideas on the debate of South vs South Cinema, calling the conversation a “unproductive”. The actor said that meditation should move towards cooperation, which he believes is a more positive way for the Indian film industry.
“It was only recently that India discovered South cinema and started celebrating it at the national level. So I think it is good for TRP, good for conversation, and makes good headlines-stimulating to talk about something. But it is not the most productive thing for cinema. If we have to take on the world’s legends, we need to be unknown.
The session also included actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who shared a stunning moment with the past. He recalled a collision at a restaurant in a restaurant soon after the release of his film 3 Idiots.
During a panel run by filmmaker Karan Johar, speaking on the second day of the ongoing waves 2025, Bebo shared how he met Spielberg at a restaurant once during a trip. The incident occurred immediately after the release of 3 idiots, including Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi acted.
“I was really in a restaurant, traveling somewhere, and Spielberg (Steven Spielberg) took place at the same place,” Bebo remembered. “It was before many Moon, when 3 Idiots were released. He actually came to me and asked,” Are you a girl in that very famous Indian film about three students? ” I said, ‘Yes, this is me!’ He said, “My God, I loved that film very much,” he said.
Asked about the possibility of working in Hollywood, Kareena replied, “I think it’s not just systematically. Saying that, films are my passion-they run in my veins. I was born in this family. Time is changing, and you never know. Sometimes there is no part of my personality, but if it means, then a Hindi-rise film will also be a Hindi-innovation film.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 2025 on Thursday. More than 10,000 representatives, 1,000 creators, 300+ companies and 350+ startups are participating from more than 90 countries. The four -day program started on 1 May and will continue till 4 May.
