The two-day urban fest organised by Local Hungama will feature a variety of stalls, live workshops, music and stand-up shows.
Sponsored by Soul Spa, the event promises to be a haven for art lovers, eco-conscious shoppers and those looking for unique, handmade treasures. Megana Ganapathiraju, founder of Local Hungama, says, “The two-day festival offers an opportunity to support local artists and small businesses; we plan to make this concept a regular feature and provide a platform for city-based artists and small enterprises to market their products.” Some of the highlights include ceramics and paintings, customised stationery and art products, natural body care products, nature-themed bookmarks painted in watercolours, small potted plants, handmade friendship bands and rakhis, crochet products and sustainable clothing.
For those who wish to learn a new skill or pursue a hobby, Urban Fest will be hosting workshops offering engaging activities. Join an acrylic painting session where you can unleash the artist in you; or try your hand at a crochet session and create beautiful handmade crafts.
A poetry and storytelling session will be conducted by the Vizag Writers and Vizag Reads communities. Stand-up comedians Lenny and Sai from Vizag Comedians will tickle your funny bone with funny anecdotes and witty jokes.
Local musicians from the band Tea Story will also perform at the two-day festival. Admission is free.
Aug. 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Ocean Vista Bay.
