Ben Affleck’s best friend Matt Damon and Jennifer Lopez were spotted holding hands at a party after the release of his new movie Unstoppable.
Damon and Lopez both arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday night, where the two shared a private moment.
Citing sources, the Daily Mail reported that Damon, 53, refused to talk to Lopez, 55, about her ex-husband Affleck, giving the Jenny From the Block singer a clear indication that he will “always have Ben’s side.”
The two reportedly talked to each other for 20 minutes with their heads together.
Lopez was reportedly eager to discuss her estranged husband with Damon following their divorce, but the Bourne Identity star “wasn’t interested.”
“Matt Damon shut down any attempts by JLo to discuss Ben at the premiere,” an insider told the outlet.
According to sources, her timing was bad, as she knew that her taking Matt aside for a private conversation would be picked up and shared widely.
Did Damon pray with J.Lo at the Unstoppable premiere?
Though he was grateful for her role in the film, Damon told her he was “glad” to hear she was doing well.
There was a moment when the two of them were sitting in a corner of the party and Damon seemed to be praying with his head bowed.
Clearing the suspicions, the insider added that Damon “wasn’t praying with him” and that he “will always have Ben’s back no matter what”.

A look at Ben Affleck and JLo’s split and Damon’s advice
Before their split, Damon reportedly advised his best friend to “focus on his work.”
“When Ben and J.Lo got back together, Matt tried to warn her that this could happen,” a source said.
Lopez made a stunning red carpet appearance for the first time since filing for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20 when she wore a disco ball-inspired revenge dress.
Meanwhile, Affleck preferred to stay at home rather than get into any arguments with his ex-wife on the red carpet. Damon and Affleck are the producers of the sports drama Unstoppable, which tells the story of Anthony Robles, a man who is born without legs and becomes a professional wrestler.
A source said Lopez, who stars in a supporting role, seemed very excited that evening because “Unstoppable means a lot to her.”
