In 1999 Ben Affleck was asked if any of his ex-girlfriends were angry at him, and when he answered yes he was asked why.
Actor Ben Affleck once said that his relationships never end well. Talking to Playboy in 1999Ben had explained the importance of speaking up when one is “dissatisfied and unhappy” in a relationship. Speaking about himself, he had said that instead of talking to his partner, he makes excuses and stops calling. When Ben talked about his ex-girlfriends
In the interview, he was asked if any of his “ex-girlfriends were angry at him” and when he answered in the affirmative, he was asked why. Ben had said, “Probably justifiably so. If I was the next guy to go out with her, I’m sure I would nod in agreement about her ex-boyfriend. It’s not like I was manipulating women or physically abusing them or mentally abusing them or anything like that. It’s just that these relationships are never good. I think what happens is that I want out of the relationship.”
Ben told how he was in a relationship
He added, “During a relationship, if you get dissatisfied and unhappy and don’t say anything, if you don’t deal with it at that moment, it just grows and stays there. So instead of saying, ‘Look, don’t do this, please don’t behave this way,’ I just go along with it until I don’t want to be in the relationship anymore. Then I create an incident or do something or just don’t call. And then she gets angry. And I can’t blame her at that point because I’ve developed so much passive-aggressive anger that I have no empathy and I say to her, ‘Well, of course I didn’t call you. I would have called you if you weren’t such an irritable, whining woman’. But hopefully I’m getting over that now.”
