Meet Girish Kumar
Girish Kumar is the son of filmmaker Kumar S. Taurani and nephew of Ramesh S. Taurani. He made his Bollywood debut with the romantic comedy film Ramaiya Vastavaiya opposite Shruti Haasan, which was released on 19 July 2013. It was directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by his father Kumar S. Taurani, who is the managing director of Tips Industries Limited. As a newcomer she received a warm welcome for her looks and performance. However, after her 2013 debut, she starred in ‘Loveshuda’ in 2016 – a romantic comedy opposite Navneet Kaur Dhillon. But the film failed at the box office.
In 2018, Girish was seen in a short film Collateral Damage, which was based on an ancient practice present in villages. However, this proved to be his last film as he moved into the big corporate world and left showbiz.

Girish took a bold decision to distance himself from the world of glitz and glamor and join the family business. In 2016, he joined Tips Industries, where he worked alongside his father and uncle. Today, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company, which is valued at over Rs 8500 crore. According to NSE data, Tips Music Industries had a market capitalization (m-cap) of ₹8,533.40 crore at the stock market close on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Live Mint reported.

According to Trendline, as per corporate shareholding filing, Girish’s wealth is around Rs 2164 crore.
