Who is Shrutanjaya Narayanan?

Shrutanjaya Narayanan is the son of South’s famous director, producer, comedian, actor and mimicry artist Chinni Jayant. But he is not only known by his father’s name but he also got a very respectable job for himself. Shrutanjaya Narayanan joined administrative services after clearing the UPSC exam to become an IAS officer in his second attempt. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Guindy College of Engineering and then a master’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Ashoka University.
Shrutanjaya Narayanan was ranked 75th in UPSC CSE 2019, the results of which were declared in 2020.

Chinni Jayanthi has appeared in many Tamil films as a comedian and in lead roles as well as supporting roles. He is also a popular TV host of shows including Sagaalai vs Ragalai, Kalakka Povathu Yaar and Asathapovathu Yaarui. He is also a recipient of the Kalaimamani Award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu for excellence in the field of cinema. He received this award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a grand ceremony in Valluvar Kottam.

Educational Qualification of Shrutanjaya Narayanan
According to his LinkedIn profile, Shrutanjaya Narayanan had prior experience in managing a skills development project for a global multinational company. Her master’s degree was focused in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the Young India Fellowship. He further believes that ‘We live in an ‘abundant’ time frame in history where we can easily choose to build a brilliant ecosystem of excellence for all. There is a possibility of including and adopting diversities in this.
After cracking UPSC…
“Because of the application-based nature of science, you can learn a little bit of everything. This way, it is equivalent to studying for UPSC,” Indian Masterminds quoted Shrutanjaya Narayanan as saying while interacting with the media shortly after his UPSC results in 2020. He further added, “It is important to have confidence in your optional subject as it gives you some advantage while trying to achieve higher ranks.”
He further added, “It is important not to stop and keep learning. Constant practice helps in learning.”

He credited his family and friends for providing him constant support during his exam preparation. He said, “It never hurts to have mentors that you can turn to. This can help you stay encouraged throughout the process. Overall, you just have to trust the process and wait.”
She also opened up about seeking help from others, including ‘my parents, friends, coaches, colleagues and even cab drivers.’
Current Job Status of Shrutanjaya Narayanan
According to a LinkedIn update, Shrutanjaya Narayanan is serving as ‘Joint Chief Executive Officer’ at Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency. Earlier he was Sub-Collector in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu.
