New Delhi: Malayalam Movie Loca: Chapter 1 – Chandra, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nahnan’s specialty, released on August 28 for a huge response in theaters and is being honored for its unique story. Dominic is breaking Arun’s superhero film records, which is so far pure of Rs 24 crore in India and a worldwide 60 crore rupees. While the actors of the film are turning the head, actress-writer Sandhi Balachandran is also making headlines.
Meet Pantha Balachandran
A popular face in Malayalam cinema, Sandhi Balachandran, is credited with co-writing to Loca with director Dominic Arun. She is widely appreciated for her contribution in bringing the first female superhero film of Malayalam cinema to life.

Sandhi is a theater and film actress who made her debut with Dominic Arun’s 2017 fantasy Black Comedy Thrangam, starring Towino Thomas. She also portrayed the only female character in the 2019 hit Jalikattu of Lizo Jose Pelisari. In 2023, Sandhi started her Hindi film in Gulmohar, starring Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee and Simran.
Oxford to actress
Born in Kottayam, Panthi lives in various cities across India due to the transferable jobs of his parents. After completing his bachelor’s degree at Hyderabad Central University, he earned a postgraduate degree in Nrology at Oxford University in 2011. However, he opted to offer a stable academic career to follow his passion for acting.
In addition to excellent performance in academics, Santti is also a trained visual artist who organized six single exhibitions and participated in several groups show.

In Hardik Instagram post after Loka’s box office success, Paint expressed gratitude to his parents, wrote: “He has felt every moment of happiness and heartache every time and below, in the quarters of the bottom and below – probably even more depths I think my choice of giving a stable academic life in Oxford is not easy for him.”
Thanking him for his support, he said: “To make him feel happy and see some measures of relief after all the anxious nights, what I have given to him is the best thing that Loka’s success has given me to me. So a heartfelt thanks that see and embrace our film,” he wrote, shared a series of paintings while writing his journey through his father’s lens.
About Loka
Loca: Chapter 1 – Follows the story of Chandra Chandra (Kalyani Priyadarshan), a mysterious young woman called Bangalore from Sweden to Mothon (voiced by Mamooty), called by a shady person, who assigns her an important task. Her neighbor Sunny (Neston), who falls for her at first sight, soon reveals that Chandra has much more than meeting the eye.
