New Delhi: Famous model and former Miss Puducherry Shankar Priya, known as her stage, has allegedly died of suicide of San Richal Gandhi. The winner of several beauty competitions allegedly attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills on 5 July.
According to the toi report, San Rehhh was struggling with depression and allegedly had a lot of gold bullets at his home in Karmanikupam. Initially, he was rushed to a government hospital, but was later taken to a private hospital. He was then admitted to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, where he breathed his last on July 12, 2025.
The report said that the post-mortem will be done on July 14 according to the Orleanpet Police Station.
According to police, San was dealing with a lot of financial and personal issues. They have recovered a suicide note, stating that no one was responsible for his death. According to News18 report, the police, however, ordered an inquiry to find out whether there were any marital issues that were pioneers for her suicide.

San Richal Gandhi won several beauty pageants titles including Miss Puducherry 2021, Miss Best Attitude 2019, Miss Dark Queen Tamil Nadu 2019, and Madras Queen in both 2022 and 2023.
She lived in Puducherry with her husband Satya, whom she married last year. Rachel lost her mother at an early age and was raised by her father, who supported her modeling profession. She was a lawyer to fight colorism in the country and challenged the ‘Fair-Scin’ passion.
