What’s the one controversy that never seems to end? Hip-hop controversies, of course. After a long war of words between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and their fellow rapping friends or foes, it seems they’ve handed over the reins to the women of the hip-hop world.
Bianca Michaela Landrou, 32, known professionally as Bia, slammed Cardi B in a new diss track “Sue Me,” made public on Instagram on Sunday morning.
The Sisterhood of Hip Hop alumnus slammed Cardi after she alleged that she cheated on her husband Offset in their home. Flaring at the ‘WAP’ hitmaker, Bia rapped, “Blame it on your gang because they ain’t with you / Blame it on your name because you like your friends too much / Blame it on your husband because you like lying on your vows / I wrote all my verses I could do this shit for hours.”
Bia also said that the 31-year-old ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer doesn’t write her own songs. In other words, in the song, she also makes fun of Cardi’s looks and the way she talks.

Why did the Cardi B-Bia feud flare up?
The feud between them began in March when the ‘Whole Lotta Money’ rapper accused Cardi B of copying her music. Giving a cryptic response to a tweet accusing Cardi B of tailoring her style and music to Bia’s aesthetic, the ‘Sue Me’ rapper fueled the fire that eventually turned into a major feud. Bia responded to @Pretie_brown’s tweet with three winking face emoticons, writing, “But Bia is definitely very much on Cardi’s mood board,” as she apparently nodded along with the claims made.
Ironically, this comment came almost two years after his 2021 tweet: “Congratulations@iamcardib Breaking barriers for girls” Follow us In the comment he further said, “If you are not inspired you are not paying attention. You can at least be an admirer of someone’s work ethic, growth and contribution. And I have been writing for 10 years, what he has achieved is not easy.”
Presumably, Bia’s alleged claims that Cardi B copied her style took note of the latter, as she had a reply ready. Hitting back at her, the ‘I Like It’ rapper exchanged words with Bia from afar on a verse of Glorillah and Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Wanna Be (Remix)’, released on Friday. Cardi’s verbal assault continued, “Looks like I’m a teacher cause you wanna subscribe to me / What did she do? Had no idea / Thought she was on the shelf, Ikea / Hopefully when I see her she’ll talk like that / Bitch please, nobody wants to be yours.”
Why is Bea’s song called ‘Sue Me’?
Her heated words started a discussion about her allusion to Bia, as many fans speculated that “B Ya” was a play on the 32-year-old rapper’s name. However, these words weren’t enough to provoke Bia to write her own scathing response to Cardi B. ‘Sue Me’ came as a direct response to Cardi going live on Instagram a few hours earlier and openly addressing the Bia chapter. Saying that she was in no way copying Bia’s style, Cardi also claimed that they spoke on a call to clear the air, but things didn’t go the way one might have expected.

“I’m so shocked that she thinks I’m copying her or stealing anything from her, because there’s nothing that I like about her. I don’t like her music, I don’t like her style… I don’t even watch her,” Cardi said during IG Live. She also put her foot down, saying if Bia continues to suggest that she cheated on Offset, she will sue her. Thus, ‘Sue Me’ was born.
Talking about Cardi and Offset’s relationship, the couple secretly married in 2017 and have two children together – Kulture (5) and Vaev (2). They split in December 2023, but are believed to have rekindled their romance a month ago.
