Radhika Apte keeps her personal life away from limelight. But when she arrived at the BFI London Film Festival red carpet flaunting her baby bump, fans were pleasantly surprised.
Earlier this month, she welcomed a baby girl with her husband Benedict Taylor. Now, she has shared several photos from her maternity shoot with Vogue. Speaking to the publication, Radhika revealed that even though she knew about her pregnancy from the moment she conceived, it still came as a shock to her.
“I started telling people the very next day. It’s a really stupid story. I don’t want to make it public, but let’s just say it’s funny how it happened – it was no accident, but we Were.’ I’m not trying. And it still came as a shock,” she revealed.
But why was it such a shock to him? Radhika shared, “I think it’s easier when people know whether they want a child or not. In our case, none of us wanted a child, but there was that one percent curiosity about what it would be like. Then “When this happened, we were wondering whether we should even proceed.”
Regarding her pregnancy photoshoot, Radhika told that she did not like the way she looked. She said, “I did this photo shoot a week before giving birth to the baby. The truth is that I was struggling to accept the way I looked at that time. I had never seen myself gaining so much weight. “

However, it wasn’t just the weight gain during pregnancy, it was all the physical discomfort too.
“My body was swollen, I was having severe pain in my hip and my perspective on everything was blurry due to lack of sleep,” he revealed.
However later the perspective changed. “There are new challenges, new discoveries, and a different perspective has emerged. I look at these photos with very kind eyes and feel bad for being so hard on myself. Now, I can only see the beauty in these changes , and I know she commented, “I will treasure these photos forever.”
Radhika Apte married British violinist and composer Benedict Taylor in 2012. The two first met in 2011 when Radhika was in London, after which they started living together. Their wedding was initially an intimate affair, followed by an official ceremony in 2013.
