Tamannaah Bhatia opens up about her role in Tamil comedy horror film Aranmanai 4She revealed that she felt she could not play Selvi’s character, as she felt she did not have the maternal instincts.

Tamannaah was present in Mumbai along with her co-star Raashi Khanna, director Sundar C. and producer Khushboo Sundar ahead of the film’s release in Hindi.

Speaking to media persons, Tamannaah said, “The role they gave me, I honestly felt I couldn’t play it. ‘I am still a kid in my house.’ I feel I don’t have any maternal instincts, so I am treated like a kid at home.”

Tamannaah said, “When the director narrated the story to me and said that you are playing the role of a mother who is a protector… he gave me the opportunity to play every aspect of a woman. So, it was a very emotional experience for me. It is a very emotional and sacred experience for me.”

She further added that she took inspiration from her mother for the role of Selvi.

“I took inspiration from my mother. I get a lot of pampering at home. So, I adopted all those emotions to play my character Selvi,” said Tamannaah, who has acted in films like “Bholaa Shankar”, “Bandra” and “Jailer”.

Directed by Sundar C, ‘Aranmanai 4’ also stars Sundar himself along with Santosh Pratap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala and Delhi Ganesh. It is produced by Khushbu Sundar under the banner of Avni Cinemax.

Its Hindi version will be released in theatres on May 31.

Meanwhile, Tamannaah also has ‘Veda’, ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Odela 2’ in her kitty.
