When Hugh was asked to name his favourite cricketer in Team India, without any hesitation the actor said, “Right now? Rohit [Sharma].you took it [World] Brought the cup home! I’m so happy. But honestly, that was a beast!” Ryan Reynolds, who was sitting next to him, nodded in agreement and said, “That’s amazing!”

Team India, led by Rohit, won the T20 World Cup trophy by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final in Barbados last week. The Indian cricket team took Mumbai by storm on Thursday during their victory parade from Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. The open-bus show, which was scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM, started late, but once it began, lakhs of people turned up to celebrate the homecoming of the newly-crowned world champions.
Rohit also shared a picture of himself lying down at Kensington Oval to commemorate this moment of victory. Rohit wrote, “This picture reflects how I am feeling right now. There are so many words, but I can’t find the right words to express what yesterday means to me, but I will share them, but right now I am enjoying a dream come true, which is coming true for a billion people like us.”
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Deadpool and Wolverine. Directed by Shawn Levy, the Marvel Studios project will release in India on July 26 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Jennifer Garner, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen.
