In the era of the big-constructed studio-made animation films, one of the most memorable and groundbreaking motion pictures comes in the world as a delicate story of a cat’s journey that seems strangely familiar, perhaps because such a situation is not far from being on our planet. The film follows a cat’s journey that lives in a forest itself, but now one should fight to survive in a world that suddenly is destroyed by a great flood.

Latvian filmmaker Gints Zilbalodis “flow” draws you from the first scene, and you are immediately impressed by the imagination that it makes, a world is made using a completely unrealistic engine. The craft that is really quite untrue, and in his small runtime, ‘Flow’ manages to say so much without speaking a single word. This is an example of how a film can overcome a great limit of language without dialogue. Although many people can get to work as a difficult watch without any dialogue without the idea of a film, the flow is actually one of the most immersive films in the recent memory. Attention to sound design and small details, with amazing animation style, is a feast for the senses. In fact, after a point, someone understands what is becoming emotional or being said, even if they are the voice created by animals. This type of gillballodis has a grand achievement of the Sophomore feature.

The film plays with a twist like a modern version of Noah’s arch: not a single person is present throughout the film. The water grows every moment, because it sinks every tree in the forest and even hides the mountains. ‘Flow’ is a film about nature and wildlife conservation as it is about co -existence. In a world that is rapidly dividing itself, we see a cat, a creature that is often known for solitude, who finds a partner in the most likely, as they survive together through the worst climate change.

Between many moments of beauty, the film finds itself staggering. Be it flood sequence or a brief moment where we see golden rays of warm sunlight, this environmental drama manages to weave many emotional smokes simultaneously. The audience finds himself as a part of the floating crew, gradually becomes accustomed to this best group of animals that navigates in a world in a world in its own way that feels whatever he feels but looks safe. About 200,000 acres of forests are lost every day. There is a significant increase in global temperature. Despite our differences, it is important to include hands, fighting is common to protect nature, not only for a better today, but tomorrow for more expectation. The flow is a warm throat that needs to be tried to change the maternal earth by whispering into our ear, even if it starts in the simplest ways.

The writer, Rudrangash Gupta, is a freelance filmmaker and enjoys a keen eye on the stories shown with a unique lens.
