Tupac Shakur’s death is perhaps one of the music world’s biggest unsolved mysteries. What happened on September 7, 1996, when the revolutionary rapper was shot multiple times, resulting in his untimely and tragic death, is now said to have some Diddy connections.
McCallum, who has extensive experience in the case, argues that the origins of this violent rivalry can be traced to a previous shooting incident involving Shakur in 1994. Although the connection to Diddy is not new, the crime scene investigator’s statement certainly reveals a new chapter, as Diddy faces charges related to fraud and sex trafficking.
Is Diddy connected to Tupac’s death?
“For me this whole thing started in 1994 – the first time Tupac was shot,” Sheryl McCallum said, speaking to NewsNation on Saturday. A crime scene investigator who worked on the case in 1996 said, “You shouldn’t shoot someone five times to take their jewelry and money.”
“Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs and his crew of 40? Harmless. Without any danger,” he questioned. “What does it mean to anyone that one person will be looted and the other 40 will not? Who would have had more money and jewellery? Forty.”

Tupac was reportedly shot with four bullets from a .40-caliber Glock. Subsequently, a suspect in the case, ex-gang leader Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is facing murder charges in connection with Tupac’s death, reportedly told police that Sean “Diddy” Combs had killed the rapper. According to him, he was offered $1 million to kill. Fox 5. Combs has previously dismissed rumors of his involvement in the case.
Tupac Shakur was ‘trapped’ after being shot both times
The investigator detailed that during Tupac’s first shooting in 1994, he was trapped in an elevator, and the second time, he found himself confined in a car – in both situations he had no chance of escape. “The irony is that there is no video footage of any of these incidents,” he said. “This suggests that someone close to him knew about that day and time.” According to him, this also reduces the potential suspect pool.
Tupac publicly pointed the finger at Biggie and his label ‘Bad Boy Records’, owned by Combs, after the shooting, saying their knee-jerk reaction showed they were involved. Sadly, Notorious B.I.G. also later met a mysterious end.

Tupac Shakur’s family hires investigators to probe possible Diddy connection
McCallum’s comments come in light of recent news that Tupac’s family is launching a new legal investigation potentially linking the rapper’s 1996 murder to the disgraced music mogul. The investigation, initiated by Tupac’s family, attempts to explore possible ties to the Bad Boy record producer. High-profile lawyer Alex Spiro has been hired to thoroughly investigate the nearly three-decade-old case.
However, in his court documents, “[Davis] He had publicly claimed that he had only spoken about himself and was not trying to give evidence against anyone else in his conversation with the police.
However, this statement refutes this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid [drug dealer] Eric Von Martin paid one million dollars for the murders and also offered to make a secret phone call with the driver, Terrence Brown, who was still alive at the time,” the statement further read, according to Fox.
