Mumbai: Popular television actor Karan Patel, who is known for his work in shows like Kasturi and Ye Hai Mohabbantin, agreed that his 2023 film Daran Chupp was not right, the time for the release time was not right, which contributed to the film’s failure at the box-office. He also revealed why he would not be able to participate in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Salman Khan.
Speaking about “Bigg Boss” on Bharti Singh and Harash Limbachia’s podcast, Karan said: “Bigg Boss is not for me. I will not be able to do this. What happens that the contestant may be inside, but people outside may be uncomfortable. You are very cute, this show is not made for you.”

He then talked about his film ‘Daran Chuppi’, which will be released in 2023. The film is directed by Bharat Ratan and is produced by his mother Minu Patel and wife Ankita Bhargwa Patel.
Karan, who acted in the film, said: “Time was wrong for my film. We were new producers and when I released Mu film Sala, it was released after a week and then a young man came. It was also Indian cinema week and all these things were not paid attention. Therefore, we released the film at a very wrong time.
The day my film was released was 50 -year -old Indian cinema and all the old classics were re -released that day. This is why my film did not work. Originally our time was wrong. ,
Talking about the bouncy Indian OTT space, he said, “I am not getting an offer, whether it is good role or bad roles. Now OTT space has deteriorated due to many people, doing a lot of things on it.”
He criticized the digital platform medium and said: “Most of today’s shows on OTT have become soft porn for me. If it does not have any gray scenes or love -making scenes, it will not be seen even if not necessary in the story.”
