New Delhi: Popular television actress Lata Sabarwal, who is known for her role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalata Hai, has officially announced to separate from husband Sanjeev Seth after 15 years of marriage. The announcement was made on Saturday 21 June through an Instagram post.
In her post, Lata wrote, “After a long silence … I declare that I have separated from my husband (Sanjeev Seth). I thank her for giving me a lovely son. I wish her best for my future life.”
The actress also made a heartfelt appeal for secrecy, stating, “I request everyone to respect my and my family’s peace and do not ask any questions in this regard and do not even call. Thank you.”
He has since shut down comments on his social media posts to maintain privacy during this individual time.
This news has come equally as a surprise for fans and industry colleagues, as the couple was often seen as one of the more grounded and permanent partnership in Indian television.
