In a recent interview, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh revealed which Bollywood celebrities inquired about his well-being when he was going through a health crisis.
Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh was at the peak of his career in 2012 but then he faced a downfall. After the success of his song Desi Kalakaar, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and started abusing drugs. When asked if he got any support from his industry friends during the health crisis, Honey replied that Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar reached out to him. He said, “I used to get calls from Akshay paaji, he used to follow up, Deepika had suggested a doctor and I used to get regular calls from Shah Rukh bhai. He used to ask my family, I couldn’t even talk, everyone supported me a lot. I couldn’t talk, but he used to ask my family about my health. They supported me a lot.”

In the same interview, the rapper clarified that he never went to rehab for substance abuse. But he claimed that he has neglected his family, including his ex-wife Shalini Talwar., Because of ‘money, fame, drugs and women’. Talking about this, he said, “Our relationship was not very good at that time. There was distance between us because I used to travel a lot. For the first 9-10 months of our marriage, everything was fine. But then success and fame got to my head. When this happened, I neglected my family and lost myself completely in money, fame, drugs and women. I did some terrible things. I almost left Shalini and forgot about her.” They are now divorced.

After staying away from work, Honey made a comeback in 2023 with the song Kalastar, the sequel of the song Desi Kalakar with Sonakshi Sinha. Recently he has also released an album named Glory and is busy promoting it. Soon a documentary on his life is going to be released on Netflix India.
