New Delhi: Television actress Reem Sheikh found herself at the center of backlash as a video recently went viral on social media, where the actress was seen smiling, when recently asked about the Ahmedabad aircraft accident tragedy that shook the whole country.
In the viral video posted in the account of the famous Paprazi, Instantbolwood, Reem is seen interacting with paps outside the set of laughter in Mumbai, when one of them asked, “What to say about me), (Ma’am would like to say about tomorrow?”
For those, on Thursday, June 12, an Ahmedabad aircraft crashed tragicly, carrying the flight 242 people. Air India, later in a statement, confirmed that the aircraft crashed immediately after the takeoff and said that 241 confirmed with the sole survivor were fatal.
However, as Reem, when photographers clarified that they were talking about the tragic Air India accident, Reem did not react and left.

The video expressed displeasure with many people amid netis, who commented on their posts, “shame on you” and their behavior is called “insensitive”.
Between the backlash, Reem adopted her Instagram stories to clarify her response, “First, everyone, trolling me to not know about the plane crash-bluster. My sister fly for Air India. My real sister.”
She kept sharing how personal the tragedy was for her and her family, “When the accident occurred, I was one of the first people who came to know.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ashok Pandit criticized Rem on Instagram for being unaware of the Ahmedabad plane crash, although he later removed the post.
