A few days after the attack of Pahalgam terror, YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav shared a personal relationship with the Navy officer, who lost his life with 25 citizens on 22 April. Himanshi Narwal, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal (26) widow was the classmate of Elvish College.

Initially, Elvish could not recognize him. On seeing closely, he recognized that Himanshi was his college companions from Hansraj College.

“I was passed in 2018 and we had not talked at all since then Gurgaon is my city. We used to enjoy a lot … We used to go to the metro station together. I had his number but I did not call him because at that time picking up your phone is not possible for anyone and tell you.”

“I was surprised. I didn’t call him because there is no good time to talk now.”

Elvish reached a reciprocal friend instead, who tried to call Himanshi several times. “He did not pick up 30 calls first, but finally picked up 31st,” he shared.

Elvish also requested his fans and followers not to share images and fond memories from Kashmir as this is not the right time to share those people.

The image of Himanshi, sitting next to the body of her husband Vinay Narwal, has become a picture of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, claiming 26 lives.

26 -year -old Lieutenant Vinay Narwal married Himanshi Narwal from Karanal in Haryana on 16 April. The reception was held three days later and the couple left for Kashmir on 21 April. The couple were enjoying ‘Bhelpuri’ in the picturesque meadow of Besaran near Pahgam.

On Wednesday, the body of Lieutenant Narwal was brought to Delhi in a coffin and Himanshi was standing near it. “I pray that his soul rests peacefully … we will be proud of him in every way,” he said, stopped to hug the coffin.

“It is because of that the world is still alive. And we all should be proud of it in every way …” He said, “Bend again and again before the coffin.

Narwal, who joined the Navy two years ago and posted in Kochi, was one of the 26 people, including an intelligence bureau officer, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Besaran.

Lieutenant Narwal’s grandfather, Hawa Singh told NDTV on Wednesday that he always wanted to serve the country.

He said, “We came to Colonel from our village … He lived in Sector 7, there was a small school. He then gave his high school education in Delhi … When she looked a military vehicle in childhood, he used to ask me a lot of questions,” he said.
