Zeenat Aman’s Instagram is a treasure trove of life lessons, thoughtful anecdotes, BTS stories of iconic moments and much more. The veteran actress’ Tuesday post is the story of her recent near-death experience and the lessons she learned from it. What happened here?
Zeenat Aman shared a stunning photo of herself on Insta, writing, ‘At the risk of sounding like an old woman choking on her pills, allow me to share with you what happened last night.’
“It was the end of a long day of shooting at a studio in Andheri East. I returned home with a delighted Lily and, after giving her the attention she deserved, quickly went about my nightly rituals. My last thing before I go to sleep is to take my blood pressure medicine,” she added.
From here the painful ordeal began.
“I put the pill in my mouth, took a sip of water, and then my breathing stopped. Right there, this little pill got stuck in my throat. Too low to swallow and too far to swallow. I still Was able to breathe, but it was restricted. I took another drink of water, and then another and another, until the glass was empty but the pill remained stuck,” Zeenat Aman wrote, describing how it all started.
Then his son Zahan Khan came to his rescue.
“I had no one at home with me except the dog and five cats, and panic set in. The doctor’s number was busy, and so I called @Zanusky in a panic, who quickly abandoned my plans to go there,” she Said. It was said.
“As I waited for her, the discomfort in my throat was increasing. I couldn’t think of anything except the confusing drug that was taking away my easy breathing.”
So, what happened after Zahaan reached his house?
He wrote, “There is no dramatic ending to this story. Zahan came up, we eventually went to the doctor who said it would dissolve with time, and I spent the next few hours drinking warm water and waiting.”
The actress learned the lesson that sometimes in life, patience is the solution to everything.
“Sometimes it’s important to deal with an issue head-on. Confront, challenge, change. But sometimes a situation requires patience, restraint, and other softer acts of equanimity.”
