New Delhi: Famous Assamese singer Zubeen Garg died at the age of 52 after a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore. The Indian music industry and his fans are mourning the disadvantage of the iconic artist, who are known for the timeless songs like Ali and Dil Tu Hi Hi Son. He is alive by his wife Garima Saikia and his son, Gautam Garg.

He has followed a strong followed on social media, with over 209,000 followers on Instagram. Garima married Zubine Garg from Golaghat, Assam on 4 February 2002. The couple often shared a glimpse of their lives, which had their pictures such as their pictures taken to Mumbai often goes viral on social media.


Zubeen Garg dies

According to ANI, the Northeast India Festival issued a statement that confirmed that Garg developed the difficulties of making severe breathing during the scuba diving. The statement said, “He was immediately given a CPR before going to the General Hospital in Singapore. Despite his efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the ICU around 2:30 pm.”

The singer was in Singapore to attend the North East Festival and was about to perform later that day. His sudden demise has left fans, supporters and Assamese community in shock and sorrow worldwide.

Expressing deep sorrow, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Today Assam has lost one of his favorite sons. I am a disadvantage to words what Zubine means for Assam. Who was Zubine Garg?

Zubeen Garg started singing in a three -year tender age and released his first album Anamika in 1992. Some of his most popular Assamese albums include Maya, Jubeiner Anthem, Zabada, Pakhi, Sheshu and Junji.
