New Delhi: The sudden demise of ‘yes Ali”s fame singer Zubeen Garg has left everyone in shock.
After knowing about Zubine Garg’s death on Friday, several celebrities including Papon, Shaan, Harshadeep Kaur and Vishal Dadlani took to their respective social media handles and paid their condolences.
While walking in the memory lane, Shaan posted throbac pictures with the zubine and wrote, “Zubin is a king !! He used to live on his terms .. Left on his terms. Once again I realized how I have not kept in touch with such a lovely friend, I feel about such a time that he does not do a lot of time.”

Papon prayed for a peaceful journey to the soul of the zubine.
He said, “This is very shocking! A generation of voice! Soon gone away. Lost on the loss of words! Lost a friend. Lost a brother. A big zero. Praying for a peaceful journey of his soul, praying for a peaceful journey of his soul,” he wrote on Instagram.

Zubine, who was in Singapore for the Northeast India Festival, died after a scuba diving accident.
In a statement, the Northeast India Festival said Garg had difficulty breathing during the scuba diving.
The statement said, “He was immediately given a CPR before going to the General Hospital in Singapore. Despite his efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the ICU around 2:30 pm.”
Knowing about the demise of Zubeen Garg, singer Harshdeep Kaur paid a heartfelt tribute to the departed soul.
“The news of Zubine Garg’s sudden demise is extremely surprised. His contribution to Assamese music and culture is extraordinary … he will always be remembered for his intimate voice! What a wonderful artist a wonderful artist … Rest in Peace #Zubeengarg,” He posted on Instagram.
Vishal Dadlani described Zubeen Garg as a “true megastar”.

His contribution to the Indian music industry is known, especially his presence in Assamese culture, Zubeen Garg also sang in Hindi and Bengali films. One of his biggest Bollywood successes came with Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Gangster’ song ‘yes Ali’. The song also received several nominations for the Filmfare, Zee Cine and IIFA Awards. He was 52 years old.
