New Delhi: On Sunday, the mortal remains of famous singer Zubeen Garg of Guwahati Airport were brought from Delhi to Guwahati Airport. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg received the coffin and broke inconsistently as she was seen hugging her.
The 52 -year -old singer, known as the “King of Gulna”, died on 19 September. Fans of Assam flooded the streets of Guwahati for their last goodbye to the beloved son of the state.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita also paid their honors at the IGI Airport, before he came to Assam.

Taking X, CM Sarma shared the roads on the streets of thousands of people to pay tribute. He wrote, “A sea of ​​humanity, united according to a farewell for his favorite son. He lived like a king, being sent to the same sky.”
Fans lit candles in Guwahati, while the Assam government announced that the mortal remains of the zubine would be placed in Arjun Bhogeshwar Baruah Sports Complex in Sarusajai on September 21 to 7:00 pm, for fans and best wishes, to pay their final honors.
In a statement, the government said: “The government of Assam, with deep grief, informs that the mortal remains of Shri Zubine Garg – an artist older than life, a cultural icon, filmmaker, and the eternal heartthrob of millions of people – to the Arjun Bhogeshwar Baruah Sports Complex (Sarusajai Stadium), pay tomorrow, September, September, September, September, September, September.

In a video message shared on Zubine’s official Instagram, his wife, Garima Saikia Garg urged fans to maintain peace during the singer’s last visit.
“I am asking everyone to come together, the Zubine is finally coming home. When he was with us, all of you took him a bath with love and blessings, and Zubeen always gave that love back. I hope his funerals are peaceful. Police and state officials are fully supporting us during this time.”
He responded to the FIR lodged against Siddharth Sarma, the manager of the zubine, defending his appearance during the final visit.
“Siddharth, who has been like a brother for him from the beginning, has been coming as well. You will remember that in 2020, when Zubine had ensured that serious seizure to his treatment, he had brought back from Mumbai to Mumbai. Without that, without him, I would not be able to handle everything.”
Meanwhile, the Assam government has declared a three -day state mourning in honor of Zubeen Garg.
