Zubine Garg passes: The mortal should be blown back after the Singapore post -mortem, the Assam confirms the CM

Guwahati: The post -mortem of popular singer Zubeen Garg, who was killed in Singapore after suffering from complications during the scuba diving session, has been completed, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed on Saturday.

The Chief Minister took to his X account to share the update, wrote, “Update- our beloved Zubeen Garg’s post-mortem has been completed in Singapore. His mortal remains are now being handed over to the team- Mr. Shaker Jothi Goswami, Mr. Sandipan Goswami, and Mr. Siddharth Sharamaav (Manager)-.

Earlier, CM Sarma along with his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma visited the residence of the late singer in Guwahati, to express condolences to the bereaved family. Sharing his feelings, he posted, “Riniki and Main, went to stand in solidarity with his family in this hour with his family to visit our beloved Zubeen residence in Guwahati. Thousands of fans are waiting to see their last glimpse on the streets – we are in touch to bring him back to Assam soon.”

Meanwhile, fans, including Guwahati and Jorhat in Assam, were seen breaking up as they paid a emotional tribute to the lovely singer.

On Friday, the Northeast India Festival confirmed in its statement that the 51 -year -old artist developed issues of severe breathing during the scuba diving session.

The statement said, “He was immediately given a CPR before going to the General Hospital in Singapore. Despite his efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the ICU around 2:30 pm.”

First, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences to late singer Zubeen GargExpressing shock in an X post, PM Modi wrote, “Surprised by the sudden demise of popular singer Zubeen Garg. He will be remembered for his rich contribution to music. He was very popular among people in all areas of his life. Sent to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”

Known for his contribution to the Indian music industry, Zubine Garg has given memorable songs in Assamese, Hindi and Bengali. One of his most popular release came with Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut starrer gangster’s ‘yes Ali’ song.
