Guwahati: Popular singer Zubeen Garg, who won hearts across the country with songs like “yes Ali”, died in a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore on 19 September. He was 52 years old.
On Sunday, his mortal remains were brought from Delhi to Guwahati, where thousands of emotional fans gathered to pay his honor.
In a video message shared on Zubine’s official Instagram, his wife, Garima Saikia Garg addressed fans for peace during the last visit of her late husband.

Thanking fans for his love, Saikia said, “I am asking everyone to come together-Zubin is finally coming home. When he was with us, all of you took him a bath with love and blessings, and Zubeen always gave that love back. I hope his funerals are peaceful. Police and state officials are fully supported during this time.”

Earlier, CM Sarma said that the remains of ‘yes Ali’ singer will be placed on Sunday, September 21 at the Arjun Bhogeshwar Baruah Sports Complex in Sarusajai, Guwahati, Assam to offer their final honors for fans and best wishes.
