the story
Ajay is back in his Jassi form and this time he is accompanied by his wife (Neeru Bajwa) who calls him to London and talks about divorce. Jassi was waiting for his wife in Punjab, but his wife decided to get a divorce. After this, Jassi meets Rabia (Mrinal Thakur). Rabia’s younger sister is Saba (Roshni Walia) who wants to marry Raja’s (Ravi Kishan) son. The king is fond of good breeds, be it animals or humans. He decides to meet Saba’s parents, who are not present, so Jassi becomes her father and Rabia becomes her mother. After this, the drama begins.

Son of Sardar 2 has no jokes like the first part. No relation to the first part. The screenplay is simple. The first half is a bit slow, but as more characters are introduced the humor starts to pick up. Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain’s writing is a bit light. The first part is a winner though. The beginning of the second half is shaky and some scenes seem a bit weak. The climax hits the track on time. The writing is not nonsense. Imagine an event like India-Pakistan tension in the year 2025 shown on celluloid.
performance
Ajay Devgn has been successful in making people laugh and has played the lead role well. But Ravi Kishan who came as a gangster was very funny. Son of Sardar 2 has a lot of one liners. The work Deepak Dobriyal has done as a woman is quite amazing. Mrinal fits into this crazy ride and has good comic timing too. Roshni has played her character well. Vindu Dara Singh and late Mukul Dev will also bring a smile to your face. Kubra Sait did not get much.
All in all, you can watch Son of Sardar 2 with family and friends.
