The fourth season of criminal justice ‘A Family Matter’ once again takes viewers to the world of courtroom drama, where lawyer Madhav Mishra (Pankaj Tripathi) is seen solving the mystery of a complex murder case. This time the story revolves around Dr. Raj Nagpal (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub), who is accused of murdering his nurse Roshni. The case takes a new turn when Raj’s wife Anju (Surveen Chawla) also comes under suspicion and both husband and wife stand against each other in the court.

Story and direction

The story of this season revolves around love triangles, betrayals and family drama. Director Rohan Sippy has kept the audience hooked by gradually unraveling the layers of the case over eight episodes. However, the pace of the story feels slow at some places and some side tracks (like police officer Gauri’s personal life) make the story unnecessarily long. However, as soon as the courtroom scenes come, the series comes to life and keeps the audience interested.

Acting and character

Pankaj Tripathi has once again breathed life into the character of Madhav Mishra. His spontaneity, humor and morals are the biggest strengths of this series. Surveen Chawla, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub, Meeta Vashisht and Shweta Basu Prasad have also played their respective characters well. It is especially amusing to watch the bickering between witnesses and lawyers in court.

What is special about the series?

– There are twists and turns in the story, which keep the audience hooked till the end.

The courtroom drama as well as the emotional aspect is well portrayed.

Where is the lack?

– Compared to the last season, the Cotterroom drama this time around didn’t feel anything new or surprising.

– The slow pacing and side stories of some episodes weaken the story.

– Viewers may be a little disappointed with the episode release format as not all episodes have come together. Only three episodes have been released.

Should I watch it or not?

If you love watching courtroom drama, murder mystery and family drama, you must watch ‘Criminal Justice Season 4’. Pankaj Tripathi’s strong acting, interesting case and twisted storyline make this one of the best web series of this year. Although, the slow pace and some unnecessary tracks have to be ignored, but overall this season will live up to the expectations of the audience.
