Bhool Chuk Maaf Movie Review
Director: Karan Sharma
Actors: Rajkumar Rao, Wamika Gabbi
Star rating: ★★.5
Such is the story of ‘Bhul Chuk Maaf’
‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is a time loop drama. Ranjan Tiwari (Rajkumar Rao) is in love with Titli (Vamika Gabbi) and they are desperate to get married. But her father has one condition: take a government job, or forget his daughter forever. In such a situation comes Bhagwan Das (Sanjay Mishra), a job broker. Bhagwan Das takes money from Ranjan and gets him a government job. He also gets a job. After this, wedding preparations start at the house of both. After his haldi ceremony, when he wakes up the next day, he finds that it is his haldi and on the same date. He gets badly stuck in this time cycle. Now how he gets out of it, what happens next, you have to watch the movie.
The film’s weak link
Director Karan Sharma’s story takes a long time to reach the main point. The first part of the film looks very weak. The dialogues are quite stilted at several places. It is barely survived by Rajkumar’s comic timing. Many of Maddock’s (production house) previous films such as Mimi, Luka Chupi, Teri Baaton Main Esa Uljha Jiya have featured the same set-up – even repeating the stars. And the worst thing is that there is not enough chemistry between the family members. Even the jokes in the film are not completely set. However, you will love Rajkumar and Vamika’s chemistry.
