Monali Thakur issued an official statement after she walked off the stage mid-way during her performance in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
On December 22, only 45 minutes into the show, the singer made it clear to the audience at the venue how mismanaged the show was, and walked off the stage.
On Monday, Monali addressed the allegations of harassment leveled against her and her team by the event management team, clarifying how the management misbehaved and exploited the vendors.
“Treating vendors poorly, defrauding them of their hard-earned money or defrauding them in any way is absolutely unacceptable. Disrespecting and harassing those working behind the scenes – whether they be backstage crew, artist managers or performers Have coordinators – not the way forward,” she said in her Instagram post.
But the highlight of the post was the organizers’ confession and apology letter that it attached.

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to team Monali Thakur for their kindness, humility, support and encouragement from the very beginning,” Backroom Entertainment co-founder Aman’s post said.
In his letter, the co-founder also acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the singer and her team and apologized for the same.
“It is important to note that this incident was not a reflection of any team efforts, but rather the actions of a few individuals on our side,” he wrote.
Earlier, Dalims News had shared a video of the incident on Instagram, in which Monali is seen apologizing to the audience, while also criticizing the event organizers and accusing them of “stealing money”.
In a widely circulated video, Monali said, “I am disappointed that I and my team were very excited to perform here. Let’s not talk about the infrastructure and its condition, because that is the responsibility of the management. I Can’t tell what they have.” This was done on stage only so that they could steal money.”
