Lyricist Varun Grover, who recently appeared in a comedy special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 alongside Gaurav Gupta and Gaurav Kapoor, gave his fans a special tidbit from the episode, which will air tonight. Varun Grover shared a carousel post capturing the mood of the show.
“Pure luck that I’m playing for charity with the ever-gracious, super-kind, funny and era-defining Mr Bachchan on KBC. All the prize money goes to @adarshsanstha, and I hope they get a lot of recognition through this much-loved broadcast on national TV,” he wrote in the first caption.
Varun also shared that a fan who created movie posters and art in Madhubani, including a rendition of Sholay’s “Yeh Dosti” a decade ago, eventually handed over a piece of them to him.
“Raj Kumari – a true fan of all pre-1980 Hindi cinema – shared her love for the man who did Sholay, Chupke Chupke and Deewar, all in one year (1975).
“A decade ago, he had painted some film posters and created art in Madhubani. One piece — a rendition of Sholay’s ‘Yeh Dosti’ — eventually reached Mr. Bachchan,” Varun added.

Amitabh played Ashwathama in the film, while Kamal Haasan played Supreme Yaskin, Prabhas played Bhairav, Deepika played Sumati and Disha played Roksi.
