Celebrities have rallied behind Salman Khan after the actor called out social media trolls and body-shamers during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20
Varun Dhawan shared a glimpse of his father David Dhawan while watching the episode, while Kunal Kohli, Neha Dhupia and Bigg Boss fame Monalisa also expressed her support.
During Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman spoke in detail about how celebrities are mocked online for their looks, weight, age and personal life. His comments came while addressing a comment made by YouTuber ScoutOP during a fight involving contestant Arishfa Khan.
ScoutOP asked his YouTube and gaming community to “Khatham kardo isko” (kill him) after the argument. Salman criticized the language and used the incident to question the larger culture of online trolling.
Varun Dhawan shares David Dhawan’s reaction
Varun Dhawan appeared to appreciate Salman’s comments and shared a video of his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, who was watching the episode. In the video, David can be seen reacting to Salman’s comments, while Varun shared the clip with a clapping emoji.

Salman specifically addressed the difference between genuine concern for an actor and deliberately making fun of someone’s looks.
“Bhai, you look sick, you’ve lost weight, it’s one thing to express concern. But to make fun of Sohail and Varun on their looks? That’s wrong,” Salman said.
Kunal Kohli also reached out to X to praise Salman. He wrote, “@BeingSalmanKhan respects you. Made the most important points on social media etiquette, behavior, trolls and paps and encouraged people who follow such behavior. Aur jab bhai bolta hai toh ushke pachar nahin sakhta.”

Bigg Boss fame and actress Monalisa thanked Salman for speaking out. He wrote, “Thanks for being you @beingsalmankhan sir… I’m so proud.”
Salman Khan on trolling women after pregnancy
Salman also talked about women’s face checks on his body after pregnancy. Although he did not mention anyone by name, his comments came amid social media trolling by his long-time friend and co-star Katrina Kaif.
Katrina was recently targeted online for her appearance and alleged weight gain after attending the Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai. The actor recently became a mother, and her appearance has sparked comments about her post-natal body.
Addressing the larger issue, Salman said, “Why do you troll a person who is pregnant? Everyone gains weight after pregnancy…Garbhavati thi to wazaan kar liya, Vapas will appear in films ayegi to fit ho jagi. She wanted to spend time with her family.”
Salman then turned the conversation to the trolling he has been facing over his looks and age. He questioned why people constantly focus on how celebrities look as they grow up.
“Buddh hogaya, of course 60 sal ka hogaya,” added Salman, “you can’t be mein pyaar kia all bloody time.”
He also questioned the mindset of people who spend their time commenting on someone else’s appearance.
“Aap khda apni shakal se itne bezaar ho” (Very dissatisfied with their own face), he said.
Salman further asked, “What do you want to troll and why do you want to troll?”
The actor also alleged that some producers or actors may encourage online trolling by paying people to target celebrities.

During the episode, Salman looked particularly angry while discussing the constant comments on celebrities’ bodies and aging. At one point, he removed his hat and T-shirt, called himself a makeup artist, and wiped off his makeup, seemingly to challenge those who regularly commented on his changing appearance.
