Keerthy Suresh, who performed a dance number in Nani’s big-ticket film The Paradise, shared a bunch of BTS shots from the song ahead of the release. Sharing a glimpse of her sizzling chemistry with Nani, Keerthy wrote, “Just a few hours to go to the world of paradise!
“Congratulations to my friends @nameisnani and @srikanthodela__ for all the hard work you guys have put in to bring the world of Jadal to the audience.
“So happy to have the opportunity to reunite with my Dasara family for this special,” he wrote.
Dasara is a 2023 Telugu action drama film directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri.
It features Nani, Dhikshit Shetty, Keerthy Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirkani, P. Sai Kumar and Shamna Kasim are a collection of artists.
The film marks the directorial debut of Odela and Chacko in Telugu cinema. Santosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack and background score, while the cinematography and editing were done by Sathyan Suryan and Naveen Nooli.
In a video on Frontwoods TV, a woman criticized Keerthy for taking a dance number in Paradise for “lack of enough roles” and misidentified the film as Kannada instead of Telugu.
Instead of sharing a detailed explanation, he responded with a light-hearted, sarcastic comment. He commented in Tamil, “Vera level ponga! Chinna reform. Nani Nadipathu Telugu. Kannada alla. (It’s on another level! Just a small correction: Nani is acting in a Telugu film, not a Kannada film.”
Keerthy Suresh and Nani share a close friendship and have worked together twice – in the 2017 film Nenu Local and the 2023 film Dasara. Both did well at the box office.
Set in Secunderabad in the 1980s, Paradise centers on Jadal, played by Nani, and her fight against social discrimination and a system that has denied her community basic rights. The film combines its period setting with action and drama.
The film marks Nani and Srikanth Odela’s second collaboration after Dasara released in 2023. Produced by SLV Cinemas, it also stars Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Jual.
The Paradise opens in theaters today.
