Samai Raina’s India’s Got Latent 2 is back in controversy after allegedly filing a complaint over an alleged comment he made during one of his recent episodes. The complaint names Netflix India as well as casting director Mukesh Chhabra and seeks an investigation into the alleged comment and the platform’s content approval process.
Anurag Srivastava had filed a complaint, according to which IANSWatched the episode on Netflix from a hotel room in Mumbai on the evening of September 22. The episode featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhuvan Bam, Mukesh Chhabra, stand-up comedian Kaustubh Aggarwal, and host Samay Raina as panellists.
According to the complaint, Mukesh Chhabra was allegedly heard saying, “Come to my resting place, g***m****.”
Srivastava called the alleged comment “highly inappropriate, objectionable and sexually suggestive” and asked for an inquiry into the matter. However, the complaint itself makes it clear that the claim is yet to be verified.
It specifically states that “the authenticity, identity of the voice/person, complete context, and correct timestamp of this statement must be verified from the original and edited recording.”
The complaint has also drawn attention to Netflix India. Srivastava has questioned how the alleged content was cleared before it was made available to viewers and called for an investigation into the platform’s content approval process. He has also requested a review of the role of Netflix India content chief Monica Shergill.
The complainant added that if the alleged comment is confirmed, it could raise concerns about viewers’ dignity and child cyber safety.
However, at this stage, the allegations stated in the complaint have not been established. There is also no independent confirmation of the alleged comment, its context, the identity of the person who made it or the exact point in the episode where it was said.
After this, the latest complaint came India’s Got Latent had already faced a major controversy during its first season. In February 2025, an episode featuring podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia came under scrutiny after his comments about parents and sex sparked widespread backlash.
Following the controversy, the first season was removed from Samay Raina’s YouTube channel.
