Director Jasmeet K Reen has reportedly walked out of the Ishaan Khattar and Nora Fatehi-starrer after three days of shooting in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. Mitakshara Kumar has reportedly stepped in to take over as director.

According to a report by Variety IndiaJasmeet’s exit is linked to reported creative differences with producer Rangita Nandy. The cast and crew were said to be shooting a key sequence at the Suryagarh Hotel in Jaisalmer when the director walked out due to alleged differences over the script and execution.

The report said that Netflix brought Jasmeet on board after working dearThe Alia Bhatt-led film marked her collaboration with the streaming platform. However, his latest project reportedly took a different turn in the early days of production.

The change of director has reportedly not affected the shooting schedule. “We have not lost any working hours,” a source told the publication, adding that Mitakshara Kumar has taken over without any delay.

Mitakshara Kumar has the experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Has assisted the filmmaker on such films Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat And Gangubai Kathiawadi. He also directed Bhansali’s episodes Hiramandi.

The Royals Season 2 Currently being shot in Jaisalmer, Ishaan Khattar, Nora Fatehi and several other cast members from the first season are returning. The new season will also introduce Gurfatih Peerzada and Sini Shetty as new additions to the cast.

Bhumi Pednekar, who was in the lead role in the first season, is reportedly not coming back for the second installment. After the release of the show, the actress faced trolling.
