Ranbir Kapoor attended Aho Gurudev, an event held in Mumbai to celebrate the 60th birthday of Pujya Gurudev Shri Rakesh Ji. The actor spoke about his admiration for the spiritual leader and his ability to draw the youth towards spirituality.

Ranbir took the stage and said, “Happy birthday, Gurudev. It’s an honor to be here to celebrate your 60th birthday. I know you are often referred to as a youth magnet. It’s always inspiring to see young people taking the path of spirituality and choosing the path of humanity,” he said.

The actor also talked about how becoming a father changed his relationship with spirituality.

Ranbir and Alia Bhatt welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022. Speaking about the experience, he said, “Three years ago I was blessed to become a father for the first time, which coincided with God’s gift to play Lord Ram in the film. The Ramayana.”

Ranbir also made an announcement in the celebration beyondA book documenting the life and journey of Gurudev Shri Rakesh Ji.

In this film of Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir will be seen as Lord Ram The Ramayana. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.

Backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, VFX studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film’s music is composed by Academy Award-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

Made on a whopping budget of Rs 4,000 crore. The Ramayana Will be released in two parts. The first installment is scheduled to release on November 6 internationally, while the film is slated to release in India on November 8 during Diwali. The second part is slated for a Diwali 2027 release.
