In a recent chat with fellow contestant ScoutOP, Uditi described the breakup as a turning point in her life and called it a “blessing in disguise”.

Uditi did not mention Karan Wahi by name while discussing the relationship in the latest episode, but her comments appeared to refer to the actor, with whom she was in a relationship for nearly two-and-a-half years before they split in 2022.

Uditi Singh recalls the struggle of relationships

Speaking about what went wrong, Uditi said that the relationship gradually led to disharmony and frustration. He claimed that his partner would sometimes adopt a dominant approach and was told, “Aapko nahi kar paoge, aapko nahi aata. You won’t be able to do it. You don’t know how to do it.)”

Explaining how this affected her, Uditi said, “The partner is demotivating (my partner was demotivating me),” suggesting that she did not feel supported in the relationship.

She also recalled frequent arguments over the care of their golden retriever, Noah, who the couple adopted during the lockdown. “A lot of women took to him,” she said.

According to Uditi, differences in their approach to hygiene also caused friction. He said, “Mere tarike alag safai ke, uske alag,” referring to their contrasting habits and expectations at home.

Reflecting on the breakup, Uditi suggests that sometimes relationships end despite efforts. He compared the situation to an alignment of the stars, saying that when circumstances and timing do not work in a couple’s favor, the relationship can eventually fall apart.

Uditi’s parents were against her relationship

In a previous episode, Uditi also spoke about her family’s reaction to her relationship with her ex. She revealed that her parents, especially her mother, were uncomfortable with the relationship due to the couple’s 10-year age difference and the fact that she was dating an actor.

“Earlier, I came to meet my ex because he used to play football with all these actors, Abhishek, Ranbir and all. So, I met Ranbir because I was a fan. I used to come to Bombay to meet him. But he was so famous, he did kahani dal di (he wrote the story).”

According to Uditi, the relationship finally came to her family’s attention when her ex shared a picture or story featuring her on social media.

“My mother didn’t like the relationship because there was a year gap, my parents didn’t like the lead actor dating me,” she recalled.

The two reportedly started dating in 2019, although they did not publicly confirm their relationship at the time. Their romance became more widely known in January 2020 after Karan shared a picture with Uditi on social media.

In a recent episode, Uditi revealed that the two first connected after Karan messaged her on Instagram about a restaurant in London. They met when Karan was visiting the city and talked for about two months before dating each other.
