Farhana Bhatt was surrounded by a huge crowd of fans during an event in Hyderabad on Friday. While the star received an enthusiastic response from the crowd, the situation soon became unmanageable. Following the incident, Farhana’s talent management team, Young Filmistan, released a statement on Instagram urging fans to prioritize her safety, dignity and comfort.
“We have seen videos and chats regarding Farhana Bhatt’s recent appearance at a fashion show in Hyderabad. First of all, we want to say that we truly appreciate the love and encouragement from everyone who came to meet Farhana,” the statement read.
Farhana’s team acknowledged the enthusiasm of her fans but stressed that her safety should not be neglected. The actor later shared the team’s statement on his social media account.
“The situation at the venue became overcrowded and difficult to manage, which unfortunately led to scuffles among people in the crowd, including women. It is worrisome to make anyone feel uncomfortable or unsafe in such a situation. We understand that when there is a lot of excitement around an artiste, emotions can run high.
However, the safety, dignity and comfort of everyone attending an event must always come first,” the statement said.
Young Filmistan also requested people not to broadcast the video of the incident, noting that doing so could lead to “unnecessary negativity or personal attacks”. The team further clarified that Farhana visited Hyderabad without any intention to hurt or inconvenience anyone.
“We sincerely hope that future public performances involving large crowds are planned with proper crowd-control, security and entry/exit arrangements so that artists, tourists and especially women can enjoy such events safely and comfortably.
