After Nana Patekar’s death at her Goa home on October 8, Tanushree was the first to say she would “take care” of her reactions in a video she posted on Instagram. Calling out trolls and YouTubers for spreading negativity against her, she challenged them, saying that not many people would have endured what she went through. “After 2020, I was attacked to kill; my car’s brakes were damaged, and goons chased me,” Tanushree said in the video.
Tanushree was on her way to Lucknow yesterday when she learned about Nana Patekar’s death. He shared a cryptic video saying that the media would be interested in this ‘evil dead’.
Hours later, when asked by the media at an event in Lucknow, he said, “I have no reaction; today, my day is for them, for their event, to make their event a success. Now, what can I say? What’s gone is gone.”

In a 2018 Zoom interview, Tanushree accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually assaulting her during the shooting of a special song from her film Horn ‘OK’ Pleas in 2009. On the other hand, Nana denied all the claims. She had first filed a complaint against the actor with the Cine and TV Artistes Association in 2008, but no action was taken as the case was treated as a criminal matter.
On 13 October 2018, Dutta’s lawyer, Nitin Satpute, filed an application at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai, asking that actor Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Sammy Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang should undergo narco-analysis, brain-mapping and tests.
In June 2019, Patekar was cleared of sexual assault charges by the police. Nana Patekar died of a heart attack at the age of 75 at his home in Goa.
