Vijay Deverakonda has often found himself at the receiving end of online criticism for his public appearances and professional choices. The actor will be seen next time Ranabali With his wife Rashmika Mandanna.

At the film’s trailer launch, Mithri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar appealed to trolls not to attack the lead of his film. He described Vijay as a good person and urged people to give him a proper chance instead of spreading negativity.

“I have known Vijay for almost a decade. He has an extraordinary character and an extraordinary person. I like him a lot; he is a very nice person and quite gentle,” said Ravi.

The producer claimed that he has seen many negative narratives against Vijay Deverakonda on social media. “I request you all. He is such a good man. Why do you need to do that? Watch his effort instead. If you don’t like a film, you are allowed to have your opinion,” said Ravi.

He added, “I have never seen him speak ill of anyone nor did I care. There is no world outside his role and cinema. Whatever negativity you have in your heart towards him, please remove it.”

Ravishankar also expressed his dismay at social media users questioning the audience’s interest Ranabali’the story of “I recently questioned a handle on who would watch a story about struggles during British colonial rule. We haven’t even released the trailer, but you’ve already started. Please, think positively from this film and watch the film as such. You’ll surely feel I’m right.” He said.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda remained unfazed by the criticism and showed little interest in addressing it. Speaking to Keerthika Govindhasamy on her YouTube channel, the actress said, “A lot of trolling is done in politicians and actors. You can have feelings for a person only when you have met them or spent some time with them. When you have not even met that person, how can you have such a strong opinion about their personality?”

“It comes from the construction when a section decides that we want to form an opinion about someone. In the age of social media, it is very easy to have 15 accounts. So, when someone forms that opinion, there is a machinery that works to set that narrative,” he added.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabali Vijay Deverakonda is portrayed as a fierce and rebellious warrior fighting against British colonial oppression, while Rashmika plays his wife Jayamma. This film will be released in theaters on October 16.
