The veteran actor recently shared how social media users have commented on his age and questioned his posts. During an episode of Who will become a millionaire 18Big B talks about how these reactions changed his approach to social media and why he doesn’t write as much as he used to.
The conversation started when a contestant named Vinmara asked Amitabh Bachchan how he deals with online criticism. He pointed out that people in his age group often find it difficult to handle negative comments and wanted to know how the actor manages such reactions.
Big B explained that when he first started using social media, he saw it as a place where he could express his thoughts freely. Things changed when she started reading what people had to say about her posts.
Recalling the comments, the actor said, “At first we thought it was a very good method, I mean we are just expressing our feelings… then when we started reading his comment we stopped writing like that. ‘How do you think you are, idiot… why are you talking like that?’ This is how the words are spoken, it seems very strange. So now we have started writing more (At first I thought it was a great platform, where I could express my heart… Then, when I started reading the comments, I stopped writing. ‘What does he think about himself, this old man… Why is he talking like that?’ You come across this kind of language, and it seems very strange. So, I stopped writing)…”
Then he turned the conversation into a joke, hinting at a sudden reversal in his decision.
“And brother-in-law, you told me something? Since I started writing, our followers have been growing. (And bro, let me tell you something? Ever since I started writing less, my followers have steadily increased).
His observation left Winmara and the studio audience laughing.
